I always tell myself that I’m going to blog more and then I blink and it has been 7 months since my last post. This lifestyle session was just too sweet not to share! Lifestyle sessions have always been near and dear to my heart because I think it is so fun/cute to see families interacting with their new babies in the comfort of their own homes. I loved getting to meet this family and their precious baby girl!!

Lifestyle newborn sessions are quickly becoming a favorite of mine! There is something so sweet and special about documenting a new family in their own space! Photographing Avery's newborn session was an honor. This baby girl is precious and was so fun to photograph. It is evident that she already has her parents wrapped around her little finger! So much love captured in these pictures!!
I shared on my personal Facebook page and Instagram a few weeks ago that my husband, Madison and I are expecting our first baby in August!! Everyone's love and support has meant the world to us! So many of you have reached out to me and even shared your testimonies of your struggles to become pregnant! It is so encouraging to see how God has blessed your lives with such beautiful children! God is so good!
As I mentioned before our road to becoming parents hasn't been the easiest and I wanted to go ahead to share that story again on my blog along with some of my favorite pictures from our session with Dani G Photography!
A year ago, after trying for many months, we got hit with some pretty tough news. We were told that we would need to undergo fertility treatment. In this last year we've pretty much felt like the fertility hospital was our second home. We've gone through many tests, treatments and I've had more blood drawn than I thought I had in my body and let's not even get into the shots... I'm not going to lie it has been one of the most difficult times of our lives, but God has been so faithful through it all! Even when the doctors gave us a 38% of getting pregnant with IVF treatment I never doubted that one day we would become parents. After all, God says He will give us the desires of our hearts and I've never known a man that wanted to be a father more than my husband! That along with the peace and love we've felt through this process made me confident that we would someday become parents. That doesn't mean that we didn't experience days filled with disappointment, doubt and tears but even in the hardest of days we chose to never give up or let sadness overtake us! Instead we chose joy and to trust God-because though it wasn't how we planned to become parents-God's plan is better!
We are overwhelmed with gratitude for this little blessing and will never take a moment for granted! My heart goes out to others going through infertility struggles. I will continually pray for you all! I know this process can feel so frustrating, painful and lonely at times but never give up on your desire to start a family! Take your troubles to God and rely on Him to get you through each moment. Even my hardest of days, when I felt so defeated and sad, can't touch the sheer joy and excitement I felt the day we got to hear our baby's heartbeat for the first time!! This baby was worth the wait.
Thank you so much to those of you who have been praying for us during these last few years, your prayers have meant the world to us! We have been so blessed by each of you and could not have gone through this without your prayers and support! As we transition into this new and exciting time in our lives we are extremely grateful for your continued prayers for us and this little growing baby of ours!!
SO EXCITING TO MEET BABY POTTER THIS AUGUST!!

Ever wondered what a newborn session with Meagan Potter Photo & Design might look like? Well here are just a few of my favorites from baby Henry's newborn session! I loved the sweet simplicity of these poses and colors and baby Henry was just precious!
"Like a river flows, surely to the sea. Darling, so it goes, some things are meant to be. Take my hand, take my whole life too. Oh, for I can't help falling in love with you" -Haley Reinhart
I had such a great time working with this beautiful couple! They picked some land in Arcadia for their engagement session and it couldn't have been more perfect!
I loved the earthy, rustic theme of Grady and Annie's wedding! The details were gorgeous and it was evident how much effort and loved went into each element! One of my favorite things was the alter that Annie's dad built for them to get married under. It was stunning and the perfect backdrop as this couple vowed to loved each other forever in front of their family and closest friends! Grady and Annie chose The Barn at the Woods as their venue for their special day. The barn as well as the fall foliage couldn't have been more perfect for this couple's wedding day!
Venue: Barn at the Woods | Hair: Hair by Lorna Ward | Make Up: Christine Franklin | Dress: Free People | Flowers: Piedmont Florist
Adam and Olivia's wedding day was gorgeous and one of my favorites of 2016! They were such a fun couple to work with and their love for each other was so evident throughout their special day. This couple's bridal party was a combination of all of their closest friends and probably the largest bridal party I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I had the privilege of working with some really incredible vendors and got to capture some very special moments for this awesome couple. Yep, I couldn't imagine a more perfect day and getting to be a part of it was an incredible honor!
Venue: Gaylord Pickens Museum | Video: Ethos Creative | Hair & Make Up: Lexi Faught Hair | Dress: Emma & Grace Bridal Studio | Tuxes: Joseph A. Banks | Flowers: Whole Foods | Coordinator: Leslie Herring Events | Band: Hook | Cake: Brown Egg Bakery | Invitations: Kayla Martel
These two are the cutest! I really enjoyed getting to work with this lovely couple as well as their pup and horses! We photographed Annie and Grady's engagement shoot at their wedding venue, the beautiful, Barn in the Woods in Edmond, OK. It was the perfect location for their rustic session and I am so excited about photographing their wedding this coming fall!!
Meg's Bridal Session
Getting to photograph my new sister-in-law's bridal session was a great honor! I hope everyone enjoys viewing the images as much as I enjoyed taking them! :)
I got to meet Tom and Tara while I was in NYC last December! We met up to do their engagement session and had a blast! Ever since then I had been looking forward to photographing their wedding day! I loved every moment of capturing Tom and Tara's wedding! The Myriad Gardens was a beautiful location for the ceremony and then we headed over to Vast for the reception. With it's stunning view of the city and modern decor it was the perfect spot for their reception! We had a fantastic time working with everyone that came to celebrate Tom and Tara! I'm not exaggerating when I say this was possibly the most fun I've had photographing a wedding!
This is one of my favorite locations to shoot in Oklahoma! I was so excited when this gorgeous bride asked if we could do her bridal session in the Wichita Mountains! Her flower crown, bouquet and dress were beyond perfect for the mountain setting.
2015 was a wonderful year! As I was looking back through a years worth of photography I thought I should share a few of the images I was privileged to capture of some of my sweetest little clients! I think it is pretty easy to see why Newborn photography is one of my favorite types to photograph! :) Thank you all for another wonderful year!
Could not have asked for a better engagement session to end a great year of work!! 2015 was such a wonderful year for my business and I am so thankful to all of my awesome clients for allowing me to photograph them and their loved ones!...
Now back to what this blog post is really about!! Tara and Tom are the best! I had such a great time at their session! They are so sweet together and couldn't stop laughing during their whole session (which I loved). They showed me around Brooklyn, New York and picked out some fantastic locations for the session. I'm thrilled to work with them again in May at their wedding at the Myriad Gardens!
Amber's Senior session was so fun! She choose downtown OKC for her location so we went to the Myriad Garden's and a few of my other favorite spots in downtown! Her session was probably the first Senior session I scheduled for this year and we decided to do the pictures in September so that it wouldn't be too hot... who would have guess that September would be hotter then July this year? :-/ Gotta love that unpredictable Oklahoma weather! Regardless of the heat we had a blast and got some gorgeous pictures! Amber, I hope your senior year is awesome!! Congrats girl!!!
I always love getting to take this beautiful girl's pictures! I have taken her newborn, 4 month, 6 month and now her year one pictures. I has been a blast watching her grow during the first year of her life! Her photo shoots are always so fun! Her mom has so many cute ideas and fun props she brings along that makes each photo shoots unique to her sweet girl!
